COORDINATOR

The Coordinator is a device that can be built in, or easily attached to the t-mac system.

t-mac, our Internet remote monitor and control device has been designed to enable ease of installation of a coordinator module for Wireless Sensor monitor and control. With this module, t-mac becomes the network coordinator:

It can set up a network

Manages network nodes (WiST enabled sensors and switches).

Stores network node information (data collected from the WiST enabled sensors/switches/key fobs).

NODE

WiST can be connected to a variety of off-the-shelf sensors and other such devices of your choice. These become the 'Network Nodes' which talk to the
coordinator (t-mac)

These nodes:

Facilitate battery powered or high energy saving applications

Search for available networks/t-mac units

Transfer data from application to t-mac for monitoring

Request data from the network coordinator/t-mac unit

Can sleep for extended periods, facilitating long battery life and energy savings

REPEATER

The repeater is a WiST device placed between the coordinator and a cluster of nodes to increase overall range/distance of the wireless network and also provide a gateway to the network for a node which is unable to communicate directly with the coordinator.

One or a multiple number FAW Electronics Ltd's WiST repeaters can be positioned in the network to route data to nodes which cannot communicate directly with the coordinator - creating a 'daisy chain' effect.
